Client: Sickboat Creative
Going into the new year, Sickboat wanted to articulate their voice to their audience in a simple yet effective manner. In doing so, the old Greek epic poem, The Odyssey, was adapted into the visually stimulating works of art as a way to depict Sickboat Creative’s core values. The idea behind the poster artwork paired with their individual taglines was to celebrate the themes behind the long journey by drawing parallels between the struggles of the hero, Odysseus, to the idea of success. The idea of success could be interrupted to one’s simple everyday tasks or even starting a new business. The goal of the posters is to speak to one’s psyche, playing on their negative tendencies as well as finding their courage to succeed. With the combination of bold eye catching imagery, thought provoking tag lines, and a familiar tale, these posters help promote and reinforce the Sickboat agency’s core values and help build the idea that the agency can be the answer to one’s creative issues.
